finally done! this animation is made to reveal the amount of ads and content in a daily newspaper. i also made this to test myself and see if i can complete a long term project. i hope it doesn't bore you. there are no voices or cute characters and it is serious compared to my previous work but not a permanent change in my style.

I haven't really looked at my watchlist in a few weeks so I haven't seen the scraps. Was this entirely animated or was there a bit of actionscript used? (I'm mainly thinking of how you calculated the percentage of content to advertisement)

i put the numbers into a spreadsheet program then i took slices of the pages and put it into photoshop and used the 'average' filter to see overall how much black or white there is. if it was a dark grey (like 85% black) then it was 85% black. i took the numbers multiplied them to get a hex value on 255. then i created tweens for each slice of the page. the percentage is determined by the distance of the line that scrolls across the gradient bar, using actionscript. besides that i used actionscript for the buttons and other little things. it was pretty frustrating. just about each time i use code i have to go back to refine it. it really is trial and error for me, but i guess that's coding.

well this one doesn't have the dA recommended dose of tentacle hentai in it so it is kept out of sight. thanks for watching anyway!
